After experimenting with the marks made when pushing a pebble dipped in paint around on paper, Wade used this technique in the background. He used a large brush to push a rock covered in paint which resulted in the dreamy green ground over the top of spray painted stencils.

Over this Wade dribbled thickened paint and finally embellished the marks with Poscas

Nestled in the bottom corner is a mermaid to finish off the seascape.
